What I'm Working on Now

Currently, I am not working on anything, and haven't been since mid-2025. The September 2026 article (Welcome To The Misinfocene) is an anomaly. Nonetheless, for posterity, here was what was in the works when my brain tapped out:

• An novel-length exploration of the five live-action Transformers movies directed by Michael Bay (currently 45k words, likely to reach 80k);
• A quick look at a paper about ethics around AI in academia (3k words, second round of edits done);
• You Don't Want Humanoid Robots (4k words, tops. currently on first draft);
• The Aliens movies are about wetness (currently at 5k, likely to reach 25k words);
• Some musings on the purpose of morally aligned art, and a look over some projects that proved less interesting or achievable than assumed (2k words, first draft done);
• A romp through the scariest aspect of existential horror: facing great power that understands but does not care about you (10k words, early draft);
• Something about love and fear and curtain rods (4.5k currently, likely to reach 15k words).
